Rin and Sessh go Mod

Heh, modern, that is. I wasn't able to go to the last paintchat due to observed Valentine's Day celebrations with my bf *snuggles Chris* but I offered a sketch of a modern Sessh and Rin to make up for my absence. Fluffy looks kinda stupid, but that's mainly because I don't know how to draw a suit (or briefcase!). :sweatdrop: I gotta get some good reference... but back to the point. This is Sesshoumaru and Rin, if they lived through to the modern era. I love to make up stories to go with my doodles, so here goes!

Once the saga with Naraku was resloved, Sesshoumaru lost interest in his hanyou brother. It is up for debate whether this occured because he matured as an adult, or just because his half-brother seemed to dissappear off the face of the earth. Somewhere around the latter part of the 16th century, the demon lord realized that, "Oh, holy crap." He had fallen in love with a human. They lived a great life filled with pretty clothes and (unfortunatly) Jaken, until about the Meiji era, when things got pretty bleak for demons. Luckily for Sesshoumaru, being a husband to a human prepared him for the next big step in life - going undercover. Hiding his markings, putting away his fluffy, and living a mundane existance got him through until the 20th century. Then he discovered stocks and bonds... you can figure out the rest.

So that brings us to the image. Rin gives him a sexy little 'goodbye' before going out shopping, because they are fantastically wealthy and that's what rich people do. Sess here is off to another day at the office of that supa-huge-mega conglomerate that he built up. Seeing as how he's over 700 years old and doesn't look a day over 26, he can be the founder, CEO, and spokesman with no troubles. Later that day, while picking over the new line in a boutique, Rin happens to notice a particular schoolgirl walking down the street that tickles a memory. After promptly freaking out, she decides to investigate (read: stalk) this 10th grader and her three friends. When Rin sees her meet a punk kid with long white hair who appears to be her boyfriend, she can assume nothing other than it is the Kagome she knew 500 years prior, and her husband's brother is still alive. What is Rin to do?

Probably pass out, which attracts the attention of Kagome, which brings the two brothers into contact again... eventually.

Heh, and that was the short version. Before you ask, yes, I do this for all the pics I draw. I know, it's stupid. LoL, so many ideas for a picture that is mainly about cute shoes. =Þ
